So, I’m gonna do a 2 for 1 type post here with a home session and Max Patch proposal.
Over the past year and a half or so, I’ve gotten to know James + April, and if you didn’t know, which I don’t see how that’s possible, they are extremely amazing photographers. However, they are even better at being completely genuine and real people that I call close friends now. I got the chance to hang out and take photos of them being them in their killer home. Beer, listening to records, laughing and just enjoying the moment should be a staple in every shoot..seriously.
Not long after their home session, James contacted me about traveling to Max Patch to document his proposal. After some deceitful emails on my part to get them up there with April thinking they were shooting an engagement session. The plan was in motion. So after laying in the grass for what felt like forever, the skies opened up and the angels were singing for these two. Ok, so a little exaggeration there but I’m so freaking happy for these two. We decided to shoot for a bit, all the while, the temperature continues to drop and drop and drop. It was getting cold but, that sunset was completely worth the wait and the cold.
So next week is the big day for these guys and I can’t be there because I’m shooting a wedding. Ah, the life of a wedding photographer. So many sad face emojis. I’m super bummed that I can’t be there and celebrate with you guys but my love for you will be there and my dancing shoes will be their in spirit.
Everyone else, grab a beer, hit play and enjoy some James + April.
